Ronald Haines, Author
Ronald genuinely enjoys the process of writing and can be totally immersed in whatever world he is creating for hours at a time. But when not at his desk writing you’ll generally find him outdoors.
He spends most of the year in Northeast Ohio where he enjoys gardening, hiking in the woods, sailing and kayaking.
Not a big fan of cold weather, though, Ronald spends winter in the Bahamas. While there he'll be walking the beach, swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving, while he also continues his research into pirate history.
After an idyllic childhood in England, college education and a very successful working life as a scientist, corporate manager, and entrepreneur in America, Ronald sold his business in 2015 to enter next phase of his life as a full-time author.
Ronald is a published author in several genres, including both fiction and non-fiction, but his current focus is on the adventure and romance of golden age piracy and colonial America.
Ronald is goal directed, self-motivated, and a big believer in individual freedom and its requisite companion, personal responsibility. You’ll find these traits expressed throughout his writing and he also shares his views on individualism in the modern world through his pages and works about existential humanism.
