WHO I AM:  I'm goal directed, self motivated and a big believer in individual freedom and its requisite companion, personal responsibility.  I write novels, solemnize marriages, walk an average of an hour every day and like to sail and cook and take pride in my garden.   I left the coprorate world and all its trappings twenty years ago after having risen to a senior management position before it finally dawned on me that I really didn't like it and become an entrepreneur; a move I heartily reccommend! 

ABOUT MY VOCATION:  What we do is not who we are.   My business is HCI Benefits and I'm a Benefits Advisor and Broker because it gives me the opportunity to genuinely help people (and save them a lot of money) while generating a decent living and affording me freedoms unavailable in more structured venues.   I also write two blogs about the healthcare and benefits industry: Responsible Healthcare and The Dental Consumer.

I'M AN ORDAINED HUMANIST:  Humanism embraces the ability of the individual to bring advances to society using logic and science and is often referred to as "a religion based on reason."  Unlike theic religions, Humanism deals with the natural world and has no need for belief in anything supernatural.  We are part and product of nature itself, tracing our heritage back to when life first appeared on this planet over two billion years ago and we delight in the parts we play in our lifetimes to make a contribution to the ever lengthening legacy of humankind.   Please visit www.ohiohumanist.com and www.existentialdruid.com to learn more.

ABOUT MY BOOKS:  I genuinely enjoy the process of writing and can be totally immersed in whatever world I am creating for hours at a time.   My first book, A Walk In The Park,  is set in modern times.  Share Don Elliott's questioning his position in corporate America and his growing dissatisfaction with his marriage and, once he realizes there are alternatives, the action steps he takes to resolve the situation.  Available in paperback.
